Architectural Music

A Walk Through Harp

A study of movement started this musical project. Its not usual to think of music when you're designing architecture, but this is where two become one. Through looking into pro dynamics and the fluidity of the flames, it became interesting to explore the fluid movements of the human body as they themselves move. The form came from mimicking a fluid like motion, seeming totally random but at the sam tim particular. using a Harp as the instrument of choice enable the design to record moments of motion by the inhabitant, making them bend, twist and stretch to get through the harp as well as play the strings. This all makes sound as the inhabitant walks through th experience, The strings in turn make boundaries that define a space and path to guide you to the other end.
